Minutes of the January10th, 2007 Meeting

President Vinnie, called the first meeting of 2007 promptly at 7PM, and began the usual introductions.

Minutes of the November meeting were approved as presented, by Betty Reichel.

Randy announced the newsletter is now available on line. Those members that do not have email, can still receive a hard copy in he mail.

Old Business

The Treasurer’s Report-

Art gave the treasurers report.

Membership-

We have 4 perspective members hoping to fulfill the requirements to get voted in.

Historian-

Our history book will be available for purchase, in CD form and on line at year end. Although the history books are very nice, most members never see them. A CD will allow you to view the years events at your convenience, while watching our budget.

Scholorship.

Cliff reported that we have given $1500 from our scholarship fund to SPSCC for the 2007 recipients.

Will be updated.

NWACC-

George talked about new NWACC proposals. NWACC is proposing to operate a zero balance checkbook. Also for consideration, is to eliminate the $5 per entry fee that the clubs give back to NWACC at each event and the clubs pay their own binder per event.
The club was in favor of this.

Sponsorship Committee-

Peggy reported that sponsorship has some new interest and a couple of current sponsors willing to increase the level of sponsorship. This will all be finalized by March 1.

National Corvette Museum

NCM, George would like to share a video of the museum expansion project in the near future. The date will be determined.

Sunshine committee

Randy and Art are both home and recovering well. Randy is sporting a brand new hip, and Art is recovering from a stroke he had on September 14. Flowers have been sent to each of them from the club.If you know of a club member in the hospital or recovering from an illness, let Frankie know. She will send them a little cheering up

Events & Activities-

Upcoming events:

Upcoming All City Rally, each member is expected to help in some way. This is our fundraiser for the scholarship we provide each year.

JT has set the date for Vette Fest as 6/16 & 6/17. Sign up sheets will be available at the February meeting. Saturday is the car show and Sunday the autocross.

Tacoma Corvette Club will host their 2nd Corvette open house in February. C de O will host one in the fall, with the date and details to be determined.

New Business

A quorum was not available to vote on the increase of club dues, so we will look at it again in February. 2007 budget, including income and expenses, as the board sees them now, was distributed to help make your voting decision. One of the budget items, the LeMay museum renewal/donation was mentioned as a topic for further consideration. It was also suggested that we show a budget line item, to take our P & L to a zero balance.Any questions or concerns contact Vinnie/

Nominations are still open and voting will be finalized at the February meeting. We need your support at the February 14th meeting, in order to conduct the voting.

We have T shirts for sale. Contact Art.

Raffle, 1/2 cash pot won by Cliff. Michael South will bring the prize from October as well.
