January 2010 Minutes


CALL TO ORDER / INTRODUCTIONS / APPROVAL OF MINUTES


The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m., January 13, 2010 at Hawk’s Prairie Inn. Each member introduced themselves as well as their car(s). The minutes from the November meeting where approved as they were submitted.

TREASURER’S REPORT – Art Carter
A year end and new year report was given by Art Carter. To see a full detailed report, go to the club website.

The audit was completed by Art Carter, George Swartz and Jason Moorash and all financial information is in order.

NWACC – George Swartz
New rule changes where put out to all the car clubs for a vote.
    *The ability to change the name on the Insurance carier.
    *Need to change the word “binder” to the term “certificate”.
    *Remove the ‘show and shine’ section for car shows.
    *Changing the tiebreaker rule, to be based on an odometer reading.
    * Helmet rating being updated to 2000 year from the current rating.
The club voted to approve the above changes, so George will go back to NWACC with our vote.

NCM – George Schwartz
There are several upcoming raffles this year. Go to the NCM website to see all the drawing details.

HISTORIAN- Randy Harris
History is in the making! Pictures wanted!
 

SPONSORSHIP – Peggy Rogers
No new info.


SCHOLARSHIP – Cliff Reichel & Karen Johnson
The club submitted the donation for the year to SPSCC.

WEBSITE – Art Carter
Web site is up to date.

MEMBERSHIP – Art Carter
We currently have 41 Family memberships and 13 single members.

SUNSHINE – Fankie Sokso
Sent cards to Jon Cox and Jim Rodgers following surgeries.

EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES – Josette Miller and Betsy Cousineau
The club presented a box of cookies to Randy Harris for his continued support and help with many club events both in the four front and behind the scenes. Meghan was congratulated on her numerous awards she received from the NWACC banquet. George Swartz also came away with some awards.  

On February 27 the club is again going to participate in the Lions Club pancake breakfast that takes place at North Thurston High School. It is the Lions major fund raising event and CdeO is always a hit for spectators.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:50pm

The next meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday February 10,2010 at Hawk Prairie Inn.
