This Sunday, June 25th is the Mount Rainier Tour!

The trip this year includes a new  (to us) road called Kernahan Rd or National Forest Road 52 (NF-52).  It’s been described as a great motorcycle road, so it should be fun for us too! 

Will and Marilyn will lead this CdeO run thru NF-52 on our way to a picnic lunch stop near Packwood. 

After lunch, we’ll head to Chinook Pass where well evaluate the views of Mount Rainier—if it’s clouded over, we’ll return via the way we came—if  the weather cooperates, we will head to the Stevens Canyon entrance of Mount  Rainier, thru the park (fees apply), to the Nisqually entrance on our way home.

Notes:

  • Remember to pack a picnic lunch.  We’ll have lunch at the Packwood Community Park. There are covered areas, but it is first come first served. It may be a good idea to bring seating options along with your coolers.
  • If the weather is clear and we do choose to enter Mount  Rainier Park, the entrance  fee this year is  $25 per car.  Military Pass Free, Senior Pass Available for $10 if over 62.
